Not every car dealership has a uniform look. In fact, many manufactures utilize great design choices in flagship and pop up stores to help attract a new audience to their models. Here are a few of City Lighting Products favorites from Audi, Tesla, Porsche, and more.
Intersect by Lexus flagship by Wonderwall, Tokyo – Japan
Lexus has opened its very first flagship space as a global brand. This was a project to create a new conceptual “space” to cast the spotlight on the phenomena and people surrounding Lexus. The design evokes the feeling of a clubhouse or salon that can serve as a platform for gathering and sharing a variety of information and activities. Inside the three story building are a café, a garage that can be utilized as a gallery, a lounge, and a clubroom.
Tesla showroom by MBH Architects, Los Angeles – California
When luxury car brand Tesla acquired its new showroom at Westfield Mall near Beverly Hills, the team tapped Alameda, California-based MBH Architects to infuse the brand’s signature design into the space. Working within a footprint of only 892 square feet, MBH adapted the brand’s concept into an open, versatile retail concept that incorporates every element of a Tesla showroom.
Porsche showroom by The Store Designers
Domiciled in Cologne, this design bureau specializes in the fields of retail consultancy, retail design and interior design. The spatial concepts that The Store Designers® creates combine all aspects of architecture, design, marketing and sales. They transform products into a targetgroup-oriented experience and allow success to become measurable. The bureau’s focus is on strategic concepts, aiming at maximizing commercial success for the relative brand.
Audi showroom by POINT studio, Milan
The challenge of this project was the need to totally re-dress the hosting location in order to transform it into an elegant, high class and welcoming space that satisfied the client’s requirements. The concept of the red carpet, centre piece for any stylish celebration ceremony, was revisited and modified to become the focal point for the exhibition design project conceived for the Audi Regional Business Meeting.
Lamborghini Gold Coast Showroom by DMAC Architecture, Chicago
The Lamborghini Gold Coast Showroom is located in the heart of the famous Gold Coast – one of the most exclusive shopping and fine dining areas in Chicago on Chicago’s historic Rush Street. Dwayne MacEwen the design principal atDMAC Architecture PC envisioned the space to compliment the beautiful precision automobiles it houses.
MINI pop-up store by Studio 38, London
Most recently in July 2012 the MINI Pop-Up Store Project was awarded the renowned red dot design award 2012 in the category “Event Design“. Together with the client MINI, the Berlin creative agency for retail communication, Studio 38, can also feel proud that their work came out on top in a field of 6,823 entries from 43 countries. The red dot jury, made up of international design experts, was convinced by Berlin-based company’s pioneering and smart designs.
